What Vert is

Vert is an agent-native accounting platform for e-commerce and startup finance teams. It sits on top of Xero and closes the books: it decomposes Shopify, Stripe, PayPal and Afterpay payouts into their parts, reconciles them to the bank feed to the cent, and drafts balanced journal entries for human review, with a full audit trail.

Vert sits on top of your ledger rather than replacing it. Your accounting system stays the system of record; Vert does the work that feeds it.

Who it is for

Founders and finance leads of Australian e-commerce and consumer brands, and the in-house or outsourced bookkeepers and accountants who close their books each month.

How we build it

Finance does not tolerate guesses, so Vert is built around them never being needed:

• Calculations are done in code by deterministic rules, never by the AI.
• Every payout is decomposed into its parts and proven to sum back to the deposit, to the cent.
• Agents check in with a person when something needs clarifying, and anything they are unsure of is held back rather than posted.
• Every action an agent takes is recorded in an audit trail you can review.

Where we are

Vert is pre-launch and AU-first, built around Xero and Australian GST. We are piloting it with a small group of finance teams. QuickBooks Online and the US market are on the roadmap for a later phase.
